I'm running the full version does not expire till 2022

problem is when I am converting or burning anything I like to make sure nothing is running in the back ground just in case I don't get a good result with the DVD. I used to be able to right click avg and a option would say exit and that would close it but it dose not do it with the full version and I have been on the options and cant seem to stop it running when I'm converting etc any one know how I can stop it running in the back ground and close it.

You can disable AVG components via the gui, but, unless the anti-virus scanner is running I doubt it will have any effect on burning ... Obviously it's up to you though.
To disable just open the AVG interface, double click the component you want to turn off and under 'settings' just untick the option (for example - 'Resident shield active').

It might be the discs, the drive or the format is incompatible with the player.

You could try playing them in your PC's DVD drive, if it skips and jumps it's likely to be one of the first 2. In that case you could try another brand of disc, but if the problem persists you may need to buy a new drive.

If it doesn't skip it's likely to be incompatibility, in which case you will need to re-encode. You could also use Gspot (or something similar) to compare the files (codec, etc).

That's why I burn to a dvd rewritable disc. If its a good one I, iso image it and copy it on to normal dvd.

Like Gaz, gawd help me, I have things running in the background and I even surf. Never have had that many jumping discs that was my fault.
