Back in 2006, those that follow the PC gaming scene may have picked up a space adventure named DarkStar One. It was moderately well received and hailed, even then, as a bit of a throwback. Fast forward a few years and this action-adventure game is on its way to the console for the first time, exclusively on Xbox 360. This style of space-combat-meets-simulation game has traditionally been viewed as a genre only for the PC, which makes its port to the Xbox 360 something of an anomaly. It also makes it totally unique on the console – you really won't find anything like this in the rest of the 360 library.
In DarkStar One – Broken Alliance, players will explore the vast reaches of space, encountering, battling and trading with six mysterious alien races in a quest to unravel the mysterious death of the protagonist's father. Players can create their own career paths – be it brigand, mercenary, privateer, merchant or whatever mix they please – while buying (or capturing) alien technology to customize their highly adaptable ship, the DarkStar One, with hundreds of possible combinations of weapons, shields, armor and components. Full 1080p HD graphics and an intuitive, streamlined user interface bring this immersive space combat experience to life.
