It's something that is very simple and easy to do, and I find it very relaxing also.
Some of you photoshop pro's will be able to do even better than me, give it a go!

First you obviously choose the image you want.
Then go to the "IMAGE" tab at the top of your screen and click it for the drop down menu (Third one along).
From the drop down menu select "ADJUSTMENTS", this will open a further drop-down menu, from this one you need to select "BLACK & WHITE". Alternatively you can press ALT + SHIFT + CTRL + B on your keyboard

Your image should now be black & white

Now down the left hand side of your screen you need to select the "History Brush". This is the 10th icon down the list. You can either right click your mouse and select it or press the letter "Y" on your keyboard again.

And finally pick the part of the image that you wish to restore the colour too and start painting! Obviously you may need to alter the size of the brush head or zoom in on the picture for the more detailed parts of your chosen image

Not sure what that is, but it's simpler than that tbh.

Will give a tutorial a go and add it to the original post
