Just watched the first of 3 episodes, and it was ace.... Have the second one on V+ and then its the last one this coming Sunday..
I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan (especially the old 40's movies) so i didn't know how they would transport him to the 21st Century but they've done it superbly and Benedict Cumberbatch (if you didn't see him as Hawking or in Stuart:A Life Backwards your missing out) as Sherlock is just brilliant..
Highly recommended ....

Blimey you like somethng I do. Are you ill?
I loved it from the onset. I thought it was a bit crap from the trailers but loved it, even if I think they mentioned Moriarty too soon imho. Its good when Beeb create a good piece of drama. Shame they kill them off just as soon too.

Could have left it to the end and gained more suspense.

Why, when its the end..? What if they dont make any more..? Who is Moriarty? Did you think it was who eventually ended up as Mycroft? Is Sherlock gay or straight? (going by the cafe chat with Watson) Do you think he picked the right tablet?

Does it matter if it is the end, you know its coming but still the suspense is created as you are unsure if Moriarty will be there Are you interogating, well punk are you?

I liked the first two too; Looking forward to episode 3.
Even after just the first one I found myself wishing it was a longer series.

Although I think it's great there have been a couple of bits that are maybe a bit too romantic and "The hounds of Baskerville" was a little weak.
Still, I love it and wholeheartedly agree that it's one of the best shows in a long time.

I can't decide if 3 episode series are just plain annoying or if it's contributing to my near on desperation to watch some more of the show.

Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat has hinted that fans have missed a vital clue from the show's second series finale.
'The Reichenbach Fall' saw Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) apparently plummet to his death, only for the character to later reappear unharmed.
"I've been online and looked at all the theories," Moffat told the Radio Times. "And there's one clue that everyone's missed."
He added: "It's something that Sherlock did that was very out of character, but which nobody has picked up on."

Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat has revealed that the show will introduce new villains.
The writer insisted that Moriarty (Andrew Scott) is unlikely to return following his apparent death, reports Radio Times.
"We need to find new villains, we need to find new ideas, otherwise the show doesn't keep growing," said Moffat.
"Moriarty's a one-shot deal in the original [books]. I don't want [Sherlock] to turn into a show that's about one villain and one hero. Moriarty was great because he was a surprise. Every time you bring him back he won't be as big a surprise."
Moffat hinted that the third series, which was confirmed in January, will introduce "other great villains" from Arthur Conan Doyle's stories.
"We have to keep the show growing otherwise it won't surprise you," he suggested. "Once you get the measure of it you'll just get critical - if we keep surprising you and keeping you off balance, you won't."
No air date has been announced for the third series of Sherlock, though executive producer Sue Vertue has claimed that the detective drama is unlikely to return before 2013.
