Is anyone else’s head exploding?’ Long-dead murderers travelling through time … It can only be Alcatraz, the new brainchild of Lost creator JJ Abrams. It was America’s most notorious prison. Alcatraz, an island penitentiary in the treacherous waters of San Francisco Bay, was over the years home to some of the world’s scariest murderers, rapists, kidnappers and thieves. Perfect setting, then, for JJ Abrams’ to work his magic. Fans of the mysterious goings-on in Lost will find themselves on reassuring territory. There’s an island, there’s unexplained time travel, and one of the key characters is played by the ponytailed Jorge Garcia. Alcatraz opens with an apparently baffling murder. While investigating, San Francisco detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is intrigued to find fingerprints at the scene from an Alcatraz inmate who had died decades previously. When tight-lipped government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) tries repeatedly to block her subsequent inquiries, she realises something decidedly fishy is going on.

Been waiting for this to be aired for what feels is an eternity. Just hope it justifys the wait.

Sounds like an interesting idea but that trailer is horrible, isn't it?

So I think Ernest Cobb was a somewhat interesting character... did they rationalise his situation too simply?
Has anyone else gotten around to watching any of it yet?

Was ok i suppose, not anywhere near as good as i hoped and the blonde tec and her fat friend annoyed me within 10 minutes so i'll not bother with anymore of em..
