| Walking is good! Nice and relaxing! I put in about 10 to 12 km about 2 or 3 times a week. | |

| 10 to 12 km each trip. It's nothing really. I had to do a lot more than that and more often when I was in the military. I do it now just for the exercise. | |

| I'm usually out for about an hour and a half, on average. I never time myself. Also, sometimes I take my camera along which will necessitate more time. Or, I might take my iPod. That will slow me down or speed me up depending on what I'm listening to. No, I'm not in good shape. I'm in TERRIBLE shape - but I am trying to correct that! | |

| TD,
things always look and feel far worse than they actually are, our middle daughter was in a similar situation recently and pregnant with it, something always comes along, usually when you are not expecting it. As for the father, if he's done a 10 stretch for GBH and ABH he's unlikely to be wanting to do it all again sometime soon.......If he was to come knocking, your family are very unlikely to stand there and let him thump you one..... | |

| Preemptive strike - wang him before he wangs you, then get on your bike and go on a road trip Thats what I'd do, but then again, not a lot of people tend to take my advice ... Seriously though, hope things start looking up for you man. Take the threat from her dad with a pinch of salt, its probably just that - a threat. | |

| I'll be sure to watch the 10 o'clock news this evening ......If he was outside your house he would have done whatever he was gonna do then, he's just using scare tactics on you. It's much more fun prolonging the agony than walloping you one, the fun's over then. You may not want to hear some of this but....... On the housing situation, If you were to get your own place without a job, the government won't pay full housing benefit for you until you are 25, they only pay you £55 towards the cost, you could try to claim something called DHP (Discretionary Housing Payments) but this isn't guaranteed as it's based on what's left in the fund and how desperate you need the money. Your best bet would be to find a relative to stay with or a friend to share the cost of the house/flat. Could you and your sister not share a place? If you are not getting anywhere with a council waiting list, let them put you into a hostel, these are not like they used to be, most are self contained flatlets and you will get housing very quickly with more help. I wish you well my friend, it's not a nice situation but you WILL get through it!.

if anyone...and i mean anyone comes knocking on your door in a threatening manner....
there is always s very quiet and little known organisation called the police...ring them...
and before everyone jumps on the bandwagon saying they are never there when ya need them..and always ther when ya dont....i think your options are slightly in favour of at least trying...
