| Did you burn it yourself or is it a retail DVD?
Which k-Lite pack are you using? - Basic, Full, Standard, Mega, Corporate or 64 bit? 5.5.1 seems to be the latest release, but as you can imagine each pack varies in supported formats...

| So it skips in the DivX player, how about on your PC? If you still have the file on your PC, it's worth checking that it wasn't badly encoded in the first place.
DVD rips are usually pretty standard though, so the 'Full' pack should be just as good as 'Mega'...

| the problem could be your divx player was missing the codec ,as you burned it to disc as data the codec pack on your comp would make no difference to the file you transfered to disc , you would have to re-encode the file to a format thats compatible with your player , convertx did that job as it re-encodes to mpeg2 and uses divx and xvid codecs | |

| I've never had trouble with my divx player till this film but if I run in to that problem again I will just convert the film.
I wouldent know how to re-encode the file to a format thats compatible with my player so easier for me to convert it.
