Congrats M.O.G ( mum of G)/ cake lady. Look forward to seeing what the new class creates. I genuinely love anything to do with craft work of any type. My mum does egg craft (if you've ever heard of it that is).

Wish you all the luck with the new class.

lol! Gaz .......you sit and make the cones for the roses and get bored after 10 minutes! laugh

GG, It is a delicate craft but I think it is something anyone can learn given time, some take to it really quickly and others make cabbages for weeks, the hardest part is to get used to thinning out the paste to make them delicate and not getting scared or getting the paste all stuck to your hands. It's really fascinating to watch how a spray of flowers made from sugar develop. thumbs up

lmao ...TK, ......M.O.G lmao

I used to help make flowers from napkins with my nan among other materials. Somewhow I think pinkshears my fave tool of choice won't work here. However my mouth will eating the stuff. sugarcraft and cake decorating - Page 2 Lol

I'll have to give it a try and see how bad I can make a flower. First things first a cake to make then I can eat that while I ruin the paste lol.

You ought to do a youtube short lesson and show case your work. That should bring in some interest and maybe work your way.

My firend got married recently and her cake was , in her words, not even suitable for flushing down the bog. It cost her a fair packet. They had to send one of the bridesmaids out to get another cake from Asda. Which looked better and was edible.

I showed her your work and she was gutted but didn't think her new hubby would be too keen on geting divorced and remarried so she could get the cake she wanted.

lol ,i have been contacted by the wedding cake mags,to do a video ,in the past but it costs around 300 pound, and also as im retired if i do it as a job i will get taxed very high ,i was on ebay selling my flowers,as i tried to go self employed but by the time i payed all the fees ,and postage and my tax bill it did not pay.the flowers went to america paris australia all over the uk ,Andie and Gaz wanted me to sell the house and us to go and live in paris as they dont have sugarflowers there, and she could do tattoo,s. I started the class as part of our local residents commity for the community ,but it recently folded but i kept the class on,and now the council asked me to do an afternoon one.Two weeks ago i did a 3 tier stacker and the groom collected it and dropped it outside the front door all sponge, it took 6 hours to repair it,with Andie helping me too,i could have killed him

These cakes and sugarcraft are awesome. Watched an instore demo of sugar craft, worth watching the professional do it than try and fail like I did

My wedding cake was kak, looked like a child had been let loose with playdough and it tasted vile. Best bit of the cake was the slinging of it during a food riot. Can't say my wedding wasn't a fun affair, that was the best part there after it was a vile as the cake was. Gald to be rid of both now.
