| On SKY1 Thursday 31st March 9pm http://sky1.sky.com/the-runaway-brand-new-promoCathy Connor and Eamonn Docherty are brought up together in the East End. As the daughter of a prostitute, Madge, Cathy's life is difficult, especially when everyone assumes that she will be following in her mother's footsteps. But when Cathy is forced to protect Madge from a violent attack by a punter it changes her life forever. Cathy is taken into care but she suffers institutional abuse which leaves her with no choice but to run away. She ends up destitute, on the streets of Soho. Desrae, a transvestite, unexpectedly comes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Eamonn joins Dixon's firm and rises up the ranks of the East End criminal underworld.. Eamonn goes to New York to escape where he gains a reputation as a ruthless villain with a specialism for sourcing weaponry. Anyone aware of a longer trailer please feel free to post them...If this is a fraction as good as The Take by the same author I'll be very happy... | |

| I thought it a bit lame and lagging in parts. Felt more like you entered the story 3/4 in to it. I know i watched it from the begining.

| Its not a patch on The Take, it's very Laaandon cliched, it's a bit stilted in places and some of the actings not the best...
It's watchable though.. | |

It's watchable though.. I agree it is watchable. Especially now Alan Cumming is in it. He maeks a stunning woman. | |

| Excellent, not as good as The Take (mainly because it doesn't have Tom Hardy in it) but still really good.
Looking forward to the final on Thursday. | |

| Do you not think the acting after episode 1 or 2 is really stilted, as is the script..?
Showed huge promise but i think its flagged really badly..
Andi is still watching it though...
Oh, and that lad out of Skins, the lead, has obviously been to the Michael Caine school of acting..
