| Bee's - Maddogz Grand National Sweepstake 2011 Each member can pick 5 horses. First come, first served. A horse can only be taken once. If there are any horses left over then we can pick more in order. Best of luck! Check that somebody else hasn't picked the same horse. The Runners Chaque membre peut prendre 5 chevaux. Premier arrivé, premier servi. Un cheval ne peut être pris une fois. S'il ya des chevaux reste alors nous pouvons choisir plus en vue. Bonne chance! : 12: Assurez-vous que quelqu'un d'autre a pas choisi le même cheval.

Ballabriggs were throughly exhuasted and dangerously dehydrated and the jocky if I ever see him will get a whipping from me the same way he whipped the poor horse. Grand national always brings out the best and worst of people as a game or bloodsport depending on which side of the fence you are sat on.

Horse can jump and run, but there is a fine line between acceptable and pushing the cruely line. Races horses are bred for this, so in one camp the race is accpetable. On the other side, whipping a horse to get it across the line is not acceptable. I'm on the fence with this one, I've seen horses jump and race and enjoy it but the carnage of the grand national is something that should be stopped.

Over 4 miles jumping ridiculously elevated fences..? There's no way race horses are bred for this, it's like the Ironman event for humans, pushes the limits way too far so participants suffer, it's the whole point.. It's fuckin ghastly..

It's fuckin ghastly.. Race horses are berd for this, if you ever purchase an ex racehorse you will find they have to have a specialised diet for the rest of their lives. As they can't eat normal horse food, such is their genetic tailoring. It's likepedigree dogs, they are gentically tailored but end up with inherant faults. Horses do naturally jump, I've seen the on round up's at the new forest and those ponies can jump high and run for miles. Which I would do given the choice. Cross country/all terrain derbys have running distances and all manner of jumps. There has been calls for the Grand National to be ended or at least the jumps and course less damaging. I am a supporter of this and to ban the whip. A horse can see the whip it doesn't need to feel it.

| First year since I was in nappies I didn't have a bet on it. Beautiful creatures, most horses would love to have the lifestyle of a race horse ... don't buy in to the cruelty argument A little bit of light whipping never hurt anyone ... so they say | |

| It's not the life I disagree with, it's that one race in particular...
2 miles too far and with too many dangerous fences...

| Haha.
He was on the One Show, on the couch with a jockey (or ex trainer), Cassidy got on his high horse about the national and it turned into a proper verbal scrap. The Welsh bird had to break away for a link ... just had a scan at YouTube but nothin' there
