For years now the UK has been under pressure to join the Euro,

Personally I don't want Euro's, I like our pounds, i like the fact that Scotland still has it's own notes too. thumbs up

I say "Yes!" and all notes and coins should be based on a valued standard.

The world is a very small place now and getting smaller all the time.
Also, simpler is better!

i'd say yes...coz it's bin a bit of a problem for me especially during this trip!
AED (dirhams) in dubai, GBP in london, euro's in the rest of europe!!
it's soo difficult!

In an ideal world, no money should exist. That will never happen the fat cats won't permit such a thing.

As for an universal world coinage, again it will never happen. USA won't permit it, Europe won't accept using the dollar, or would the Russians trust such a thing.

Keep the pound British. It is was every country has lusted after for century's.
