ok the last couple of torrents I have got from privite sites I have put them on a data disc and the files have been dvdxvid. so should play fine on my PS3 but a couple minutes in to it it comes up corrupted data any one know why it does this seems just to be certain say box office things bxxing wrestiling files Im having the trouble with an odd film now and again any help would be great.

but if I fast foward it it lets me watch it for so long then comes up corupted data again have tryed different discs etc same result

I've noticed that when trying to watch TrueBlood on the X-box too...........

absolutely no idea why...but you're not alone LOL

As far as I know not all Xvid profiles are PS3 (or xbox) compatible...

Unless others have been able to play these files, you have probably just been unlucky and chosen the wrong one(s).
