The Photography Thread

Here is the place to show off your photography skills, you don't have to be David Bailey. If you have taken a picture you love or tried to capture something specific then share it with us!.


I was a member on a Cockatiel forum a while back and entered one of my birds in a talent show.......

Here he had to be photographed with his favourite toys


Here I had to capture him sleeping which was very hard to do, the slightest noise woke him up!


This one was to show him with his favourite food


This was to capture him in flight


This was to show him with a friend


And this was his head shot.......


He made it into the final 5, but then I got bored and haven't been back there for a while.



EDIT:.......bugger! forgot to sign out of him!

Gaz took these last winter, I love the feel of these.

Do I move my photo's over to this thread or leave them where they are? Do I post mine here or there. See now I am all confused.

Baby goose on the Oxford Canal and a very spectacular Sunset.

'im in doors thinks I'm tree mad, fish and duck mad.All I take pics of, other than the dogs. I thought the tree looked moody.

Ok I take pics of weeds too.


I do bridges alot too. I was sat out the front and enjoying the peace and quiet. Ok I was trying to take a picture of a damsal fly and I couldn't. I was on the move so that might have been the problem.

Some stunning images here Gris, the gosling is my favourite I think?.....but then I look at the others again and I like them all. You obviously have a good eye for an image, I like photography but having a decent enough camera certainly helps me to get a better shot.

The baby geese the sunset that evening was stunning I was watching it develope and taking pics as it played out. Then along came the baby geese and I decided to turn the world upside down and point it at the water.

I am point and click. I am too impatient to sit n frame it. I am a wart and all photographer.

My photo's are care of me hanging out of the side of the boat or in the locks.

It's almost impossible to get a decent full shot of this one!
