Here's something you might find handy. It's directions to make a "Shutdown" shortcut on your Win XP desktop:

1. Right-click on the desktop.
2. Select "New", then "Shortcut".
3. In the next screen, browse to C:/Windows/System32/Shutdown.exe
4. Click "Next".
5. Name the shortcut and then finish.
