when in Rome springs to mind
some may say its draconian to still have the death penalty.
but bear in mind chinas past dealings with opium and heroin it brought the country to its knees stirred up revolts ,and destroyed families .
so if the guy goes to a country that has always had the death penalty for drug smuggling he knew the risk.
imo we have been far to lenient on crime for way to long .
they are releasing criminals back onto our streets to re-offend time and again ,
because the prisons are full ,
one solution i would like to see returned is the judges having to option to sentence the offenders to a min of 3 years in the armed forces ,thus saving tax payers money on keeping them and their families .
they would be put to some use and learn a trade of some sort ,
draconian yes but these are strange times we live in ,
and we have no new worlds to ship them off too
