We've all heard the stories of people being arrested for hurting burglars or likewise, there was one recently of a man and his brothers battering one with a cricket bat who had broken into his home and tied his family up, and one today of Mylene Klass being warned by police for simply waving a knife at teenagers who'd got into her garden, she was inside her house at the time and the knife was waved behind a closed window no less, but the police said a knife is an offensive weapon even inside your own home..

It's crazy, PC gone mad.
We were actually talking about this the other day. A couple of kids (probably about 14 or 15) kicked over the snowman we had just built. I saw them do it, ran out the door effing and blinding and chased them up the street ... no idea what I would have done if I caught up with them. Probably gripped them by the coats and told them what I thought.
But Jen rightly said to me after ... 'You just can't do things like that anymore'.
I dunno, it seems the complete end of the scale from the American thinking. Not sure if they take it too far or not?

Nah, just using that as an example.
It would have been like 'Oh, I wasn't expecting to catch up with you - now what do I do?'
Cos you're pretty limited to what you can and can't say/do to other people.
Remember the scene from Only Fools and Horses were Rodney chases the mugger? He chases, chases, chases then traps the mugger in a dead end.
The look at each other, Rodders is like wtf do i do know? The mugger ends up chasing Rodney back the way they came LOL

If it were me and I'd have caught them I would have dragged them back, shown them the sad faces of Meg and Katie and made them rebuild it for the girls!
regardless of the PC brigade!

this is just my view and probably what i would do if i was awoken by a burglar he would stand a good chance of being kicked from one room to the next ,the more people who stand up for themselves and be counted in the courts ,with a bold message i will not take this lying down the more chance this pc thing will go away ,
ffs they are now trying to put £15.00 on on the spot fines for minor traffic offences to help pay compensation for the crimes these shits commit , they don't work they steal rob abuse and yet again its the decent people of the country that have to pay yet more , you are allowed reasonable force if you are attacked in anyway so if you felt your life threatened you can chuck the c**t down the stairs and subdue him forcibly if it needs to be done ,then after you knock him senseless put a knife in his hand and state he was coming right at you

I like the old rule I grew up with. If they come at your with a fist, you can use your fist back. If they come at you with a knife do the same back.
If they break into their home. Grab then by the ear, march them back home and break into theirs.
Reasonable force law is as much good as a wet bag. It applies to the perp not to you.
I am an advocate for being able to protect myself and my home etc with what I can.
This may put the law of this country into perspective. Their was a rape case where the rapist countersued back; as the woman he raped and abused scarred his face and hands and bruised his gonads. He claimed damages for his injuries and won.
It put me off continuing law. Learning theo law that is there to protect you is infact their ownly for those who can pay the most for it.

Living out in the countryside, I could have a gun to go hunting with. I do not as I am against hunting as it is practised , for the sheer pleasure of killing. Just as well cos if I had a gun and some-one broke into my house then he would find himself on the wrong end. Too bad for him , he should not have tried it or even thought of it in the first place!. The simple fact that wrong doers can sue and win in court against their victims is beyond me. This leaves the door open for all of them. "taking you to court cos I cut my hand on the window of your house I broke while trying to burgle you!" Then you hear stories of them coming from broken families etc etc. Poor sods! They do not have my pity in that case.A lot of people come from broken families but that has not made them lawbreakers!

Quite simply my opinion is anything!!! If someone enters your home without invitation to cause you or the occupants any harm in any way, or to take without permission any property from said home then they deserve everything they get, no matter how harsh.
If you don't want to be picking the end of a 3 Wood golf club out of ya face, then make sure you have my permission before you enter my home or remove anything from it, you have been warned!!!!

Around the pit villages of the North East you know what happens if you get caught and that’s the risk you take.
Small villages BIG families. Never known police involvement all of those caught are talked too and when attending A & E have slipped over.
