| Not bothered as long as they play well I suppose.
As long as they don't start humping their team mates, get caught day dreaming about gay things when they should be tackling etc etc.

| Is there some sort of back story or trick to this question?
Surely their sexuality has no bearing on their play and is therefore irrelevant in the context?

| No, there's no hidden agenda here, I was just thinking to myself "what are peoples views on the subject?" I was also thinking the same on the subject of gay men in the military, I suppose it stems from the rugby player coming out the other week. I personally don't see any problem with it, if the person in question is good at what they do then that's all that matters surely? The reason I posed the question around football is because it's been a very male ego led thing since it began and rumours have always been banded about that such and such is hiding a secret. Why is it such a big issue? I am guessing that the same male ego plays a part in the changing room and this is where the problems (if any) will lie? The fear that a fellow team mate will be ogling your bits while you are undressing or bathing. | |

| I personally couldn't give a hoot as to what turns them on, as long as they play well and do the job they are employed to do on the pitch.
The odd thing is, i have heard this question asked a lot and the answers are always the same from the majority...... so why do you think there are gay footballers out there (and there has to be) still choose to hide there sexuality???
Granted i'm not saying they should go around shouting about it either.

| Maybe, but i suppose some would argue that they should be used to it as professionals (not that they should have to) | |

| Well sure, hopefully he doesn't get aroused if he tackles a football player then lands in top of him | |

| Hardly gonna effect their ability to play. Not that it matters whether they're gay or not. | |
