I think the whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion.

The Sun newspaper (who recently withdrew their 'support' for Labour) are a disgrace for the way they have handled the whole thing, they are on the attack and will use anything they can to rubbish Browns name.

The poor grieving mother of the soldier has been put right in the middle of it and you can tell its The Sun 'winding her up' from behind the scenes ... they are using her grief and fragile state of mind for their own agenda.

The PM, one of the most powerful and busy men on the planet, takes the time to HAND WRITE a letter to the loved ones of dead soilders and this is what happens. He can't win, it would have been the exact same had he sent a typed letter.

Don't get me wrong, it WAS a mistake and more care SHOULD have been taken with the letter being of such a sensitive nature but come on, there are more important issues surrounding Afghanistan than the PM writing an N instead of an M!

Not taking anything away from the terrible loss of the mother but this is really not that important.

Agree? Disagree?

Agreement here too.....

He's a half blind buffoon but thats still a million times better than any Tory..!

And the Suns only fit for wiping yer arse on, always has been...ask a Scouser what they think of the fukin rag..

I too think its a nice touch to do a handwritten letter and you can see by his other letters that they are all handwritten in black felt tip so he can see what he's writing and with that its always gonna be messy.

I agree with you on this one.

I think it is a very kid gesture from the PM to hand write a letter to the families that have lost their loved ones in battle.

I don't reckon that many other PM's or Presidents in the world would take the time to personally write letters. For this he should be congratulated, not dragged through the muck by some shitey newspaper.

For a newspaper like the Sun to come out and say what they did is totally wrong, hopefully it will give Gordon Brown a wakeup call to change the laws on the way the media in this country can act.

For far to long the media in this country have been getting away with wrecking peoples lifes and its about time it was stopped.

I dont, i think its very grown up of him...

And its lives i think, not lifes..
