A DRUNK man had to call the fire service after getting his head stuck in his own back door.
The apologetic middle-aged man, from Whitebirk Drive, Blackburn,
had returned from a night out at 2.15am yesterday, but had lost his
house keys.
He smashed a glass pane on his back door and tried to reach in and
unlock the door. But when he put his head through, he got stuck and had
to ring 999 on his mobile.
Crew manager Paul Guinan said: “We had to guide his elbow and then free his head.
"He kept apologising, saying ‘sorry lads’.”
The sheepish man refused first aid to cuts on his hand and was left to ‘sleep it off’ by the fire crew.
