O.K as promised here is a thread dedicated to this interesting idea. I will just repost below the details that i posted in the "Avatar" thread from the movies the movies section.
So give it a go and lets see how good we are. And if anyone wants to have a go at making there own tutorial then please do. Although the ones out there are pretty good, i just think they are more suited to people who are already pretty handy at photoshop already. So some of us newbies to photoshop could do with maybe a little more detailed tutorial. Plus as mentioned in the other thread, it may just attract more attention to the forum. There are loads of people out there asking how to do this, desperate to find a good tutorial they can follow.
