You really need to go to the cinema to see it in 3D to get the full effect...so I have heard
We went the pictures last night and watched the 3D ... the film itself wasn't really my cup of tea but the SFX in 3D made up for it.
It went on for way too long aswell (3 hours nearly) ...
8/10 for the 3D experience.

..And the Smurfs..
It's not an entirely unique concept, but what is? I'd say, that thought is naturally derivative anyway, so to find an idea is entirely dissimilar to anything else is impossible. Essentially though, yes, you could say that it is 'nicked', but I would suggest that it's how our conciousness works and evolves; building upon itself.
It's a classic story that can be found in endless other novels, films, music and even in history. So why do we have to deny the brilliance of it based on who had the idea(s) first?
Anyway, it's more than plausible that the idea(s) grow parallel, but independent in peoples minds.
Plus, how cool are Pandora and the Na'vi....

Well...pretty much, yeah.
I just read that each frame took an average of 47 hours to create (that's 47 days per second of footage...alone, one person would have to work non-stop for more than 15 lifetimes to make this film).

The graphics were amazing, didn't care much for the story line it's self. Would have to agree with Bee here 8/10 for graphics.

You will need subtitles for certain parts. The aliens in the movie don't speak english so some of them have hardcoded subs for the nonenglish speaking parts. Which is what you would want.

therr are a few on Ip but they are 4 gig I will need to find one with hard-coded subs that's a bit smaller in size, so like the hard-coded subs will they just come up when the aliens speak what one did u get from IP, PM me it thing is because the file for the film is big I wont be able to watch it on my PS3 so will need to play it on the divx player.

I got the actual blu-ra disc from play.com yesterday. Came in a metal case, free book, free t-shirt and 3-D cards. Nice little package.
However none of the blu-rays it would seem have any extra's on the them, which is the main reason i wanted to by the actual discs. I love all the "making of....." docs on them and showing how they did stuff, and created sets ect. But nothing on this, just 2 discs, 1 film on blu-ray and the other disc is the film on DVD!
So ye, feel a little dissapointed

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 'ultimate edition' (with extras and whatnot) will not be out until November sometime.
