The missus has regular sky subscription. If i was to buy a SKY PLUS set top box and connect that instead would i be able to use the sky plus features, such as the recording t.v programs? Or do you have to actually have a specific sky plus subscription.

You need a new dish as the regular one with just one wire wont work and you need to subscribe to use the sky plus features..i would acctuly phone them and make a deal or say your leaving they will match what your paying now or be very close..

I agree with Rick, Haggle by threatening to leave and boy do they throw sweet candy to keep you. Worse case they say go, but then you can come back as shiny new customer and they still throw you sweet candy.

You can upgrade the dish yourself using Maplins LNBS.
