Use Utorrent now only because certain private sites allow it and dont like Bitlord...

| I have Utorrent 1.7.7 and until yesterday (when i finally set up the new replacement router) never had a problem with it.
Putting the new router on wouldn't affect it would it?
I just don't understand why it's not working, at least if i knew why it wouldn't work then it wouldn't fill me with F***** rage so much. I WANT MY DL's

| First, in μtorrent, press ctrl + G and click the test if port is forwarded properly button. If not, have a look for your router HERE; Or post the router's make/model and firewall program you are using.. | |

| Finally got the my internet box moved up to the loft next to the comps, which seems to have sorted the problem of having to forward ports. The problem now is that only one PC is connected to a land line. Is it possible to get some sort of splitter to plug into the modem so i can then connect 2 PC's to it? | |

| Scrap that last statement about problem solved. I've tested the port and it says it is open and fine! However still getting no DL's.
Would it mean my settings on utorrent all need re-doing??? got version 1.7.7

You still have to port forward. The port forwarding and connections are 2 different things. As for connecting, do the other 2 computers have wireless capability? For that matter does your router? For you I think there seems to be a whole heap of problems and confusions. If you want, Pm me what your router is and , as I have a Belkin and know how fickle they are from my own experince. I'll have a stab at trying to solve these problems. As for Dl problems it could be the torrents aren't working any longer. Look at the mess mini's got itself in. PM what you'r having a problem with and I'll see if mine works. At least you will know if it's your end or a general end problem.

| The rpoblem seems to be fixed now guys (don't know how). Once the comp is hardwired to the internet (i.e no router) there is no need to port forward. So all is good. Thanks for all teh advice and offers of help, you lot have been great. Until the next major f*** up my friends | |
