PS3 hacked?
One filthy scumbag claims so.
The thieving ratbag has claimed he has found a way to hack the PlayStation 3 - making it possible to run pirated games.

The hacker claims to have run copied versions of Killzone 2, PES 2008 and Burnout Paradise on the modified console.

Thankfully the exploit is rather complicated - probably too complicated for most of the mouth-breathers this would appeal to - and it involves both a Linux and Windows XP installation. Apparently it doesn't work on the PS3 Slim either.

Let's hope this doesn't really work or is too complicated to become popular.

Sony PS3 finally Hacked – Fully
It took 3 years, 2 months and 11 days to finally hack the PS3 fully. The hack was created by George Hotz who managed to use some hardware and software to break in to the system. Dumps of LV0 and LV1 have been created as well as the NAND. Other dumps will follow in the next few weeks it seems.

The exploit will not be revealed yet though while decryption keys are found allowing those who understand it all to hack in to their PS3.

It’s early days at the moment for the hack, but it seems like over the next few months we’ll hear more on the progress of this and perhaps a tool will be made in the future to help with access for other’s who want more control of their PS3.

I hear from the man who flashed our x-box that there is no solution......and he knows all there is to know, he's calling round later today and I'll be sure to show him this.

Yeah, he has a PS3 and says , at the moment anyway, it cant be done....something to do with it being Optical drive? ( dunno if i've got that right ) something do with Optics anyway....me eyes glazed over halfway thru the explanation...
